carta is software for restaurants and cafés: guests scan a QR code at the table and see the menu right on their phone. Owners manage dishes, prices and translations in a dedicated editor. Concept, design, engineering and the product website were done by huerse studios.

Challenge
Printed menus and PDFs are rigid. Every price change means reprinting, PDFs need awkward zooming on phones, and international guests often face a menu they can't read.
At the same time, restaurant owners have no time for complicated software. The solution had to be ready in minutes and work on the side of a busy day.
Solution
We designed and built carta as a complete SaaS product: an editor for owners, a fast mobile view for guests and the product website where new restaurants sign up.
AI handles the tedious steps: existing menus can be imported from a photo or PDF, translations are generated automatically, and changes can be made through an AI assistant.
