One goal, every day on your lock screen.
daygrid creates dynamic iPhone wallpapers that update automatically via Apple Shortcuts. The Goal Countdown shows the days left until a target date as a dot grid, right on the lock screen.

Challenge
Big goals easily get lost in everyday life. A calendar entry or a note is quickly forgotten.
The lock screen, on the other hand, is what you look at most every day, but it's usually static.
Solution
daygrid turns the lock screen into a calm progress display: every dot is a day, today is highlighted, and the remaining days are shown below.
You set up your countdown in the browser and get your own link for it. In the Shortcuts app on your iPhone, you create an automation that opens this link every day. Each time, the link generates a new image with the current progress, and the automation sets it as your wallpaper.
Selected features
Goal Countdown
Days until the target date visualized as a daily progress grid.
Personal link
Every countdown gets its own link, which generates the image for the current day each time it's opened.
Daily automation
An automation in the Shortcuts app opens the link every day and sets the new image as your wallpaper.
Reduced design
Designed for the lock screen: legible, calm and in tune with the clock and widgets.
Product thinking at a small scale
daygrid is a huerse studios product. Instead of building a separate app, it uses Apple Shortcuts, which already exist on every iPhone. The idea stays in focus, the technology stays in the background. "Life in Weeks" is in the works next.
